PROJECT coordinator - join our team

Project Coordinator (Waterfront Design & Permitting)

Grow into Project Management While Working on Real Waterfront Projects

$75,000 – $85,000

You’re someone who brings structure to complexity.

You notice when things are missing.

You like organizing information so it’s clear and usable.

You take pride in following through and keeping things moving.

And you’re looking for a role where that actually matters.

About the Role

This role sits at the center of active waterfront design and permitting projects.

You’ll coordinate across clients, consultants, and internal team members—helping ensure projects stay organized, communication is clear, and progress continues without unnecessary delays.

You’ll begin by supporting communication and coordination, and over time grow into increased responsibility, including client-facing project management.

Who This Role Is For

This role is best suited for someone early in their career who already operates with a high level of organization, clarity, and follow-through—and is looking to refine those skills within a structured, real-world project environment.

Why This Role Matters

Our projects involve multiple moving parts—regulatory agencies, survey data, design coordination, and client communication.

When those pieces are well-organized and clearly communicated, projects move smoothly and predictably.

This role is key to creating that consistency—bringing clarity, structure, and follow-through to the process.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Track projects, tasks, and deadlines across multiple active jobs
  • Coordinate with internal staff and external consultants
  • Draft client communication for review
  • Prepare clear next steps and maintain project momentum
  • Support permit applications, reports, and documentation
  • Organize drawing sets and regulatory submissions
  • Attend meetings, capture action items, and follow through

Growth Path

First 90 Days

  • Learn project workflows, systems, and communication standards
  • Begin drafting communication and supporting coordination
  • Take ownership of organization, tracking, and follow-through

Beyond 90 Days

  • Take on increasing responsibility in communication
  • Begin managing portions of projects
  • Develop toward a project management role

You’ll Likely Thrive Here If You

  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Communicate clearly, especially in writing
  • Notice gaps or missing information and raise them early
  • Manage multiple priorities without losing track of details
  • Are motivated to grow into a project management role
  • Are early in your career but already operate with ownership and follow-through

This Role May Be Challenging If You

  • Prefer highly structured direction for every task
  • Find it difficult to manage multiple moving pieces
  • Are uncomfortable with accountability or feedback
  • Prefer a slower-paced or purely internal role
